Knowledge
“I do not think there is God. I do not believe there is
God. I know there is God; I know God.” In Sanskrit jnana
means knowledge and Jnani is ‘one who has knowledge’.
But only one who has some God-experience, only the one who ‘knows’
God is called a Jnani. A non-believer is ajnani, ‘ignorant’.
You may have any number of doctorates but if you do not believe
in God you have no true knowledge and you are ignorant. Those
who deny the existence of God are ajnanis. We have great scientists
who are jnanis as well, those who see the hand of God in creation,
who read The Language of God in the genome sequencing, in the
laws of physics.

Ignorance
Certain scientists speak of God Delusion. They think that science
has all the answers.
But they do not have answers to many questions:
Where did the matter of the cosmos come from?
How did the first living organism come into being?
What is mind, consciousness or conscience?
What makes humans different from animals?
Where do laws of physics come from?
Who fine-tuned those physical constants that made the universe
and life possible?
What is dark energy and dark matter, that make up 96% of the mass
of the universe?
If quarks and gluons make up only 2% of the baryons, what makes
up the 98%?
When one of these questions is answered ten new, difficult questions
shall come up.
They will remain ignorant – ajnanis – as long as God
is out of their equations.
To get to the mysteries of the cosmos or of life you must learn
the Language of God.
Scientists do not have to confess their ignorance by declaring,
“There is no God.”
They should not pass judgments on matters outside their realm
of knowledge.

Absolute Reality
You are in an ocean of infinite dimensions. Going up, you never
reach the top. Going down, you never reach the bottom. Going in
any direction you never reach the frontier – endless, fathomless!
This infinite ocean is not of water – not of matter –
just vacuum only. But this vacuum is not nothingness, but fullness
– fullness of Being. This is the Truth that existed before
the beginning. This is the Infinite Goodness that exists now.
This is the Beauty that shall exist after the end.
Once, in this infinite ocean of Spirit, a tiny bubble, a bubble
of matter of immense density was conceived – the beginning!
Beginning of time and space. Beginning of creation and evolution.
This tiny bubble was nursed and nurtured by this ocean of Bliss
to grow to a universe of galaxies, stars and planets with a beautiful
planet called the ‘earth’ on which is a rich variety
of living beings, where we are the crowning jewels of creation.
This infinite Ocean is the Absolute Reality. Everything of the
bubble, matter and energy, time and space, life and death, are
relative. This infinite ocean is the ocean of LOVE
- snehasaagaram.

Three-in-one
Body, mind and soul are three distinct entities constituting one
human being. Everyone is aware of the beauty as well as the powers
of the body and everything possible is being done to enhance the
physical attributes of ours. Many are aware of the mental faculties
as well. Only some succeed in appreciating and enhancing the beauty
and the powers of the human mind. How many of us are aware of the
existence of the soul, its beauty and its powers? It would be good
if we try and learn to enhance our spiritual powers. Can’t
we make our souls more beautiful? Let us try.

Gravity
The apple falls down to meet the earth. The spirit flies up to meet
God.
The apple falls down only when the attachment to the tree is gone.
The spirit flies up only when the attachment to the world is gone.

The Purpose of Life
The purpose of life is to be happy and to make others happy.
To enjoy peace and to promote peace.
To be smiling and make others smile.
To love all and to be loved by all.
Thus to make heaven on earth. |

The Soul
“What is the soul or the spirit?”
First let us see what the soul is not.
It is not an organ of the body like brain.
It is not one of our faculties like the intellect.
It is not the mind or one of our mental faculties.
It is not produced by the work of genes or of brain.
It is not produced by the result of evolution.
Next let us see what the soul is.
It is created by God and is immortal.
It is in the image and likeness of God.
It is a being of spirit, a spark of the divine
It is what a human being is, the true self of man.
It is the source of our conscience and consciousness.
It is what survives our death when the body decays.
It is what gives us eternal bliss in union with God.
It is that which makes us different from animals.

Voices
Many get irritated by a voice inside them whispering (or shouting?),
warning against the forbidden fruit. This voice of conscience is
the voice of God. They would rather listen to the other voice urging
them on the forbidden path. It is such people who try to convince
themselves and others that there is no God. If there is no God,
no soul and no life after death, one doesn’t have to bother
about the prick of the conscience and can enjoy all the forbidden
pleasures
Bread from Stones
Devil says, “Turn these stones into bread.”
Jesus says, “Man does not live by bread alone.”
Devil says, “Use any means to make easy money.”
God says, “Earn your living through sweat.”
Devil says, “You can steal as long as you don’t get
caught.”
God says, “You shall not steal.”
God says, “You shall not kill.”
Devil says, “You may kill if it will make you richer.”
Jesus says, “Love your neighbours.”
Devil says, “Cheat your neighbours.”
Jesus says, “Store up treasures in heaven where rust and moth
shall not destroy them.”
Devil says, “See that your investments on earth increase by
hook or crook.”
Conscience says, “The salary is enough to live.”
Devil says, “Can’t live without accepting bribes.”
